Q&A

Among the questions and answers regarding ARIORES, the representative ones are as follows

Q. What is the origin of the name ARIORES?

The fifth star of Great Dipper is called “Arioth”, which is said to be a magnetic star.
Derived from the name of the star, we named our product “ARIORES”.

Q. How many offices have your company delivered ARIORES to?

We have delivered ARIORES to approximately 2000 offices (including factory, various kinds of buildings, apartment, hotel, ordinary homes).

Q. What is the principle of ARIORES?

By installing the magnetic field part and electric field part within the pipe, a line of magnetic force is generated within the pipe. When fluid passes through this line of magnetic force, an electric current is generated along the pipe wall, which causes electrolysis. Due to this electrolysis, the substances adhered to inner walls of piping, such as scale are gradually removed/dissolved.(Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction)
Additionally, by adding weak current from the electric field part, ARIORES demonstrates further effect, which is unlike any other product. By this unique method, we have acquired a patent.

Q. What is Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction?

When a dielectric substance moves within the magnetic field, electromotive force is generated within such substance. Further, on the contrary, by putting the substance in magnetic force line and then an electrical current is sent, the substance moves.

Q. How long is the service life of the body of ARIORES?

Its service life differs depending on the environment of installation place. In some cases, ARIORES has been operating without maintenance for 20 years.

Q. Is ARIORES needs maintenance?

Maintenance is rarely required for ARIORES. All you should do is check the power indicator and check if ARIORES operates correctly.

Q. Is there any difference in effect depending on the quality of water?

In some cases, as the quantity of residual substance as the cause of scale differs depending on the quality of water, there might be differences in the time for effects. However, ARIORES generally shows effect on any kind of water (fluid).

Q. Does ARIORES show effect on seawater or hot water?

Yes, it is. All kinds of fluid are subject to electromagnetic induction.

Q. Is there any difference in effect due to the amount of flow and flow velocity?

Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction can be applied when a substance moves. If there is any movement of fluid within the pipe, ARIOERES works.

Q. When can the effect be recognized?

It depends on the degree of adhesion/fixing of scale. Generally, we consider as a standard that it will take from 3 months to 6 months to recognize the effect.

Q. Does ARIORES also show effect on Legionella bacteria?

The adhered substances such as scale and slime work as a hotbed of Legionella bacteria. As ARIORES removes such hotbed, it leads to reduction of Legionella bacteria. However, ARIORES cannot sterilize the bacteria itself.

Q. Does ARIORES also have effect on the algae that grows in the cooling tower?

No, it doesn’t. There are some sunny points depending on the places in the cooling tower. In such places, the algae grow by photosynthesis.

Q. How will the dissolved/removed scale be treated?

In the case where the scale has been generated in a transient manner, it will dissolve in water and then be drained away. However, in the case of circulating water, water circulates in concentrated state. So, we ask our clients to exchange water by adding resupply water or blow water and to check out by Y type strainer.

Q. Does the dissolved/removed scale have any effect on human body?

No, it doesn’t. As the substance adhered to inner walls of piping, such as scale is originally the dissolved one contained in water, there is no anxious effect on human body. Additionally, ARIORES gradually dissolves such substance adhered to inner walls of piping.

Q. Will it become unnecessary to inject chemicals into cooling water?

It will become unnecessary before long. It will become unnecessary when all the scale within the inner walls of piping are dissolved/removed. However, it takes some time for ARIOES to be effective, in some cases, some chemicals continue to be injected during that time depending on the degree of the adherence of scale.

Q. How is the effect of ARIORES examined?

It is examined as follows:

  1. Water examination
Several examinations before and after mounting ARIORES are performed for the dissolved substance in water as the cause of scale. Due to dissolved/removed scale, the water is concentrated, which is shown as the numerical values in the examination items. From these, the dissolving state of scale is examined comparing the states before and after mounting ARIORES.
  2. Visual observation
By preparing a test piece on the piping, the removal state of scale is verified by visual observation. However, in some cases, such test piece may not be able to be prepared to the piping because of the environment of the mounting field.

Q. How long does the effect of magnetized water last?

As long as fluid pass through the point where ARIORES is mounted, such effect lasts.

Q. Why does magnetized water remove chlorine smell?

Although, the chlorine concentration in water cannot be reduced, the chlorine smell can be reduced as the volatilization of hypochlorous acid and dissolving state changes due to the changes in physical properties of water by electromagnetic induction.

Q. It is indicated that the voltage and current of ARIORES can be adjusted. How much voltage and current should generally be set?

6V/80mAA for S type and 10V/800mA for L type are the standard set values. Please do not change these values.

Q. Is there any effect on other devices by the current, leak magnetic field or electromagnetic wave?

No, there isn’t. In the operating principle of ARIORES, the magnetic field is the static magnetic field. As the changes in the weak electric current generated from the electric field are small, ARIORES never generates electromagnetic wave.

Q. What is the corresponding size of the piping of ARIORES?

It corresponds to the current from 15A to 250A. (please refer to the catalog.)
M type (home use)  15A/20A/25A
S type  20A/25A/32A/40A
A type  50A/65A/80A
L type  100A/125A/150A/200A/250A
LL type 300A/350A/400A(made-to-order)

Q. Can ARIORES be mounted on the pipes of any kind?

Yes, it can. However, for the piping that does not attract magnet such as vinyl chloride pipe or stainless pipe, it is required to install the cover to the piping, such as a steel one.

Q. Is there any similar product manufactured by any other manufacturer?

No, there isn’t. There are many other products containing only magnet. Unlike such products, our product that utilizes the multiple effect by electricity and magnet such as ARIORES, is an unpreceded patented one.

Q. What is scale?

Scale is a dissolved substance that is adhered to the inner walls of pipe and then becomes hardened, such as a hardness component in water (calcium/magnesium) or silica.

Q. What is the effect by scale?

Scale adhesion not only shorten the lifetime of piping but also reduces heat exchanging effect of heat exchanger/condensation machine etc., which will result in energy loss. Additionally, it will be the major cause that may incur enormous costs for pipe washing work or renewal work.

Q. What is Lorentz force?

It is the force produced by electricity and magnetic one.

Q. What is magnetite?

Magnetite is triiron tetroxide that is generally called black rust, a very stiff ferromagnetic substance. Being insoluble in water and acid, not being corroded by oxygen and chlorine, having strong durability to chlorine and having strengths to improve strength of piping as well as to be insoluble by showing persistent passive state when generated within the walls of piping, magnetite is an ideal rust-preventive film.

Q. What are aragonite (capillary crystal) and calcite (hexagonal crystal)?

They are the kinds of crystal of calcium in scale. As the capillary crystal grows by taking adjacent substances and being entangled with them, it becomes the scale with hard crystal adhered to the inner walls of piping. On the other hand, on the contrary to the capillary crystal, hexagonal crystal is relatively close to the state of fluid whose nature is easy to disperse in water.
(aragonite=hard crystal: calcite=soft crystal)

Q. Does ARIORES have any adverse effect on the equipment and piping due to induced current/electromagnetic wave?

No, it doesn’t. In the operating principle, the magnetic field is the static magnetic field. As the changes in the weak electric current generated from the electric field are small, ARIORES never generates electromagnetic wave.

Q. Is there any danger of electric corrosion when mounting ARIORES?

The weak electric current generated by electric field part has the action to enhance the electric current generated by an electric charge that exists within fluid and the one to neutralize the local battery that are scattered within the inner walls of piping.
As ARIORES spreads along the piping as a conductor and acts on the inner walls of piping, neither negative electrode portion nor positive electrode portion is generated as shown in the model diagram of electrolysis and electric corrosion. Accordingly, it is considered that no electric corrosion occurs on a certain part by forming a cathode.
